A hydraulic circuit locks the coupler from the cab and the locking mechanism is always visible from the cab allowing the operator to visually confirm that the coupler is fully engaged. A Dromone coupler sized for a 16-metric-ton excavator, weighs 360 pounds and carriers a manufacturer suggested retail price of $4,000.
