Authorities say a man is dead and two other people are seriously injured after a driver tried to overtake a loader performing snow plow duties on the Disraeli Freeway bridge in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
CHVN Radio reports that when officials reached the northbound crash, they found a four-door vehicle and large snow-clearing front-end loader in a serious crash.
"It is believed the vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed in attempts to overtake the snow-removal machine and its pilot vehicle when it lost control and crashed into the front-end loader," the Winnipeg Police Service says in a statement.
The four-door vehicle driver had to be extracted from the vehicle and was pronounced dead on the scene. You can read more of the report here.
