Daimler Recalls 122,000 Heavy Trucks

Daimler Trucks North America is recalling 122,056 heavy trucks, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, citing electrical problems that could result in engine stall. According to NHTSA, the battery cable may break.

The heavy trucks covered by the recall, NHTSA Campaign Number 21V481000:

  • Certain 2019-2022 Freightliner Cascadia P4
  • 2021 Western Star WH126
  • 2020 Western Star WJ121
  • 2021-2022 Western Star 49X

Dealers will repair or replace the battery cables, free of charge, and owners will be notified by letters expected to be mailed August 23, 2021. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL-893.
