A construction worker was shot and killed by a man, who then shot a police officer and fled the scene, according to various news reports.
The wounded officer was able to chase down the suspect and shoot him. Both were in stable condition in a local hospital.
The incident happened in Louisville, Kentucky, at the intersection of Interstate 264 and the Dixie Highway.
Published reports say the victim was Fred O’Brannon, and he worked for Louisville Paving and Construction.
