The CTL 272-18 luffing jib tower crane has a 200-foot maximum jib length, 10 percent longer than on the predecessor crane. It has 270-ton load moment, and a maximum full-length load of 2.9 tons.
Terex Power Plus can temporarily increase the maximum load moment under specific and controlled conditions by 10 percent, the company says.
Seven jib configurations run from 98.4 to 200 feet. It has an independent safety line, and all jib sections deliver safe work at height, plus galvanized jib walkways provide long-lasting and dependable service life. The crane’s 19-foot counter jib provides multiple job angles for various conditions.
Terex Power Match enables the operator to choose between operating performance or energy efficiency. It can hoist with 1 to 4 pull lines, affording the flexibility to choose between lifting speed with lighter loads or power and precision when placing heavier objects. Its auto-leveling feature automatically maintains the same hoist block height while luffing the jib.
Maximum freestanding height is 276 feet, and it can be configured using a combination of the 6.2-foot H20, 7.5-foot HD23, and the 7.8foot TS212 tower masts.
The cabin includes a fully adjustable comfort seat, and joystick controls feature a short stroke length to reduce arm movements and operator fatigue. The crane’s counter jib with winches and electrical panel powering all crane movements are located at cabin level for convenient access. A service derrick located at the counter jib with 1.38-ton lifting capacity hoists parts to jib-level for maintenance activities.
