The S-60 Genie telescoping boom lifts are now available in electric and hybrid versions. The Genie S-60 DC and Genie S-60 FE boom lifts are four-wheel drive electrified mobile elevating lift platforms (MEWP) with working heights of 65.1 feet. Platform height is 61 feet 2 inches.
The hybrid Genie S-60 FE can be used indoors and outdoors and can work more than one week on a single tank of fuel. It weighs 17,750 pounds. The S-60 FE hybrid’s intelligent control system keeps the batteries charged and the machine ready to work by using both regenerative braking technology and automatic engine start and stop.
The electric Genie S-60 DC has four efficient AC electric drive motors. The AC drive motors on all four wheels provide similar torque as hydraulic drive motors while using 30 percent to 40 percent less energy, according to Genie. It weighs 17,600 pounds.
Both the electric DC and the hybrid FE (when operated in full battery mode) deliver a full day’s performance on a single battery charge.
