Sustained a broken leg

A worker suffered a broken leg while working on a tower crane, and he was unable to come down off the crane. The accident occurred in White Plains, New York.

Rescuers brought their gear up to the worker and splinted the leg. They then lowered the worker about 200 feet to the roof of the building under construction. From there, they lowered him with a ladder truck and into an ambulance.

The entire rescue took about an hour.

WABC was on scene and shot the video below.
