According to Chevron Products, its Delo 400 SD SAE 15W-30 is “a new motor-oil category designed to address the growth of severe-duty applications in on- and off-highway markets.”
The oil is an API CJ-4 heavy-duty diesel engine oil formulated with patent-pending, Chevron-developed ISOSYN technology aimed at protecting engines with severe duty cycles, including frequent engine shutdown to conserve fuel and handling heavy loads that stress cooling systems. The new oil, says Chevron Products, has exceptional oxidation stability and deposit control and is backward compatible with previous XW-30 API oil-service categories.
