Charging Electric Trucks Not an Easy Fix

Truck manufacturers say the road to full acceptance of electric vehicles contains speed bumps labeled “charging questions.”

While acknowledging that customers are eager to explore the electrification of work trucks, truck makers also see charging infrastructure as one of the great unknowns that is creating caution, according to a report in Fleet Owner that included interviews with leaders from Navistar and Volvo Trucks.

In addition to charging questions, leaders cited battery cycles and the rate of technology advances as concerns for customers.
