The Washington Post suggests in a report that sacrifices made by its workers during the pandemic are behind the labor unrest at Deere. Citing union workers on the picket lines, the report suggests that responses to the pandemic have created a new attitude among workers.

As Deere workers continued to keep producing machinery at the company’s factories, the aftermath has left some workers “to question for the first time in decades what they’re willing to tolerate” from their employers, according to the report.
