Lyft and Motional plan to partner on a driverless ride-hailing service in 2023. With a soft launch scheduled for late in 2022, the service would be up and running for Conexpo in March.
Motional is a joint venture between Aptiv and Hyundai Motor, and the service would use the all-electric Hyundai Ioniq 5 to transport customers.
According to reports, the beta testing next year will be autonomous, including hailing the ride and entering the vehicle.
When fully launched, riders will be able to choose between and autonomous ride or the standard Lyft ride.
