With 700 horsepower and a maximum cutting depth of 21 inches, the new Roadtec SX-7soil stabilizer can work in a broad range of applications, from soil to old pavement. The machine cuts flush on the right side, thus pulverizing or stabilizing all the way to the curb. The cut is 102 inches wide, which is a good match, says Roadtec, for making three passes on a 24-foot-wide roadway. Equipped with a four-wheel-steer system, the SX-7 has a turning radius of 155 inches in the cut and, according to Roadtec, has a "zero turn radius" out of the cut. Estimated list price: $645,000.
