Cabins have been enlarged and incorporate more glass area for visibility.

Models ViO80-7 and SV100-7 Yanmar excavators have been updated with newly designed, wider cabins with suspension seats, more foot space, ergonomic foot pedals, and increased glass area.

The Yanmar ViO80-7 has a zero tail-swing and digs to 14 feet 3 inches. Its Yanmar diesel engine delivers 67 horsepower, 18% more than its predecessor, and operating weight for the excavator totals 18,122 pounds. Attachment performance is improved with the excavator’s 20% higher PTO flow rate.

The 21,385-pound SV100-7 Yanmar excavator is powered by a 72-horsepower Yanmar diesel. Its maximum dig depth is 14 feet, 11 inches, and it also boasts a 20% higher PTO flow rate.

Both excavators have a 15% increase in work speed, 13% lower fuel consumption rate, and 25% increase in travel speed on slope. A new 2-Pump Load Sensing (2PLS) hydraulic system increases pump flow rate under high loads to direct power where it’s needed and improve performance.

Yanmar excavator technologies

SmartAssist Remote telematics system is free for five years on qualifying machines. Using the integrated theft protection, the mini excavator’s owner can set a range from a specific location or a starting time, triggering SmartAssist Remote to send a notification if that range is exceeded. The telematics can also detect errors with electronic components and send notifications to service personnel and directly to Yanmar to streamline the diagnostic process.

Operational status can be viewed in real time and daily work reports track use of the excavator. SmartAssist Remote can track maintenance intervals and inspection items as well as notify the owner via email about upcoming maintenance requirements.

Technology upgrades on the ViO80-7 and SV100-7 excavators include a new 7-inch color LCD display. The standard rearview and right-side cameras are shown split screen on the display, and an optional Surround View feature reduces blind spots further by showing a 360-degree view on the operator’s display.
