Ford Maverick compact pickup truck is powered by an Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder hybrid powertrain with 191 horsepower when combined with the electric motor. The front wheel drive pickup has 155 lb.-ft. of torque mated to a continuously variable transmission. Standard payload is 1,500 pounds, and the hybrid pickup can tow 2,000 pounds.
The Ford hybrid pickup truck can also be fitted with a 250-horsepower EcoBoost gas engine with 277 lb.-ft. of torque and an 8-speed automatic transmission with standard front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive. Also optional is an upgraded towing package providing 4,000 pounds of towing capacity.
The four-door hybrid pickup trucks can carry five passengers. It has an 8-inch center touch screen, FordPass Connect with embedded modem and Wi-Fi for up to 10 devices.
Ford Co-Pilot360 technology includes standard Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking and Automatic High Beam Headlamps. Options include Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Centering, and Evasive Steering Assist. Five standard drive modes include Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery, and Tow/Haul.
Flexbed allows users to organize and store cargo by creating segmented storage, elevated floors, and more by sliding 2x4s or 2x6s into slots stamped into the side of the bed. There are two tie-downs, four D-rings, and built-in threaded holes in the sides. A Ford cargo management system is also available.
Built-in 12-volt electrical power is prewired to an easily removable cover on either side of the back of the bed, and there are two available 110-volt 400-watt outlets: one in the bed and one in the cabin. The 4.5-foot bed provides a six-foot floor with the tailgate down. A multi-position tailgate opens normally but also has a halfway-open position that can support up to 18 sheets of 4x8-foot three-quarter-inch plywood without needing to angle the panels, according to the company.
