The SmartROC D60 surface drill produces holes from 4.5 to 7 inches in diameter. The drill has been updated with Hole Navigation System and auto positioning that precisely locates holes, then accurately collars and drills them to the required depth and inclination, the company says.
The feed has built-in sensors in its rod-handling cylinders and carousel motor to handle 16.5-foot drill steel. A 475-horsepower Cat C15 engine works along with the control of compressor load and engine rpm for fuel economy.
